Get ready to travel back in time as you admire Rome’s three most important archaeological sites: the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and the Roman Forum, all with your exclusive guide.

Equipped with skip-the-line tickets, it will be a 60-minute experience inside the Colosseum full of stories of emperors, gladiator fights, animal fights and executions in front of 50,000 spectators.

After the Colosseum, we will head for another 90 minutes to the Roman Forum (ancient city) and the Palatine Hill (Caesar’s Palace), where we will once again have priority access.

This 2-hour and a half tour ends in the heart of ancient Rome ruins, which are also conveniently located in the center of modern Rome, providing easy access to local restaurants, cafes, shops, and public transportation options. We’d love to share any suggestions.

Your tour begins on Colle Oppio, where you will enjoy a spectacular bird's eye view of the Colosseum. You will meet our staff once you arrive at the meeting point.

We will arrange the most intimate and small group tour to immerse yourself in the 2000 year history of the Colosseum, avoiding huge and standard group tours.

With skip-the-line tickets your exclusive guide will take you to the first and second rings of the Colosseum to cover the best complete experience inside the Colosseum full of stories of emperors, gladiator fights, animal fights and executions in front of 50,000 spectators.

The Palatine Hill, one of the seven hills of Rome, is one of the most visited archaeological areas, together with the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, in Italy and in the world. Extensive and rich is the architectural heritage that can be admired on the site: imperial palaces and temples of the Roman gods. An ancient legend has it that Rome itself originated on the Palatine Hill, also supported by recent excavations that have brought to light as early as 1000 BC. approximately, here there were some houses that formed a village of a few hectares.

We will explore ancient palaces, temples, tombs, the House of the Vestals and the House of the Senate before concluding the journey to the mausoleum of Julius Caesar, surrounded by the splendid ruins of important buildings of ancient Rome, including the Curia and the seat of the Senate.

Meeting Point: Largo Gaetana Agnesi, 00184 Roma RM, Italy

The meeting point is at Largo Gaetana Agnesi, the terrace on the Colosseum, above the Colosseo metro station. The staff will be waiting for you with a blue TRIP IN ART sign and can be found at the upper exit of the metro station (if you are in front of the metro station, go up to the upper level). Remember that you must be at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the activity starts. Entry is not guaranteed in case of delay.

Things To know

  • The experience includes monument tickets.
  • Avoid carrying large bags or backpacks.
  • Bring your umbrella on rainy days. (Luckily Rome doesn’t have many!)
  • Moderate fitness level required.
  • We will meet at the meeting point 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time, for management and organizational reasons.
  • We skip the long ticket lines, but have to go through security, generally a 5–10-minute wait.
  • Please note that from 6 August 2021, all public museums in Italy will require all visitors over the age of 12 to show a valid ID and certification that: – have been vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the EU; – Have been tested (PCR or antigen) with negative results in the last 48 hours; – Healed from COVID-19, attested by a PCR or antigen test result, at least 15 days and no more than six months.
  • Exact times and bookings may vary, depending on the availability and decisions of the monument / attraction administration offices on the day of booking and may be subject to last minute changes. The departure time may differ up to 20 minutes from the selected time.
  • Please provide an active phone number during the booking process to be contacted regarding the last-minute change.
  • This experience will only take place in favorable weather conditions. In case of cancellation due to bad weather, you can choose between another date or a full refund.

From 6 August 2021, all public museums in Italy will require all visitors to show a certification that: – they have been vaccinated with an EU approved vaccine.

In case of denied access by the monument for this reason, no refund will be available.
